Privacy Notice

Last updated: 19 August 2026

1.Who is responsible for your information

RSS Construction & Renovations (registration 2021/966344/07) is the responsible party for the personal information described here. You can reach us on 061 414 4855 or at [email protected].

2.What we collect

Only what you give us. If you use the contact form, that is your name, your phone number, your message, and your email address if you choose to provide it — the email field is optional. If you contact us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email, we hold whatever you send us in that conversation. We do not collect anything else, and the website does not track your browsing.

3.Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, arrange a site visit, and prepare a quote. That is the only purpose. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.

4.Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Nothing is stored on your device by us, and there is therefore nothing for you to consent to or opt out of. If that ever changes, this notice will be updated first and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.

5.Information sent outside South Africa

Contact form submissions are delivered through Web3Forms, a service hosted outside the Republic of South Africa. Section 72 of POPIA requires us to tell you when personal information crosses the border, and this is that disclosure. Web3Forms processes the submission solely to deliver it to us as an email. If you would rather not have your details leave the country, contact us on WhatsApp or call 061 414 4855 instead.

6.How long we keep it

Contact form submissions are automatically deleted after three years. Correspondence relating to work we actually carried out may be kept longer where we are required to do so, for example for tax, warranty or NHBRC purposes.

7.Who else sees it

Our own team, and the service providers who help deliver the enquiry to us. We do not share your information with third parties for their own purposes. We may disclose it where the law requires it.

8.Keeping it secure

The website is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as identity numbers or banking details through the contact form.

9.Your rights under POPIA

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to our use of it. Contact us on the details above and we will respond in a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) — see inforegulator.org.za.

10.Children

This site is aimed at property owners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11.Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the site changes. The version published here at the time you contact us is the one that applies.

This notice explains how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013. It is not legal advice.
